I thought I'd update this thread since I am new here.
Karin no longer raises Spanish Mastiffs, FYI.
I raise Pyrenean and Spanish Mastiffs on a small ranch in N. Nevada. All of my dogs have been imported over from Europe. Presently I have four PM's - two from the Czech Republic and two from Italy. I presently have nine Spanish Mastiffs, all brought over from Spain, Poland, and the Czech Republic.
I just placed my first PM litter born in March. Unlike Karin, my dogs are ranch raised and put into livestock when about 3 weeks old and never kenneled hence I give strong preference to them going to working homes where LGD's (Livestock Guardian Dogs) are needed to protect stock. I can't say enough about the breed. The PM is a wonderful dog, affable, protective, confident and beautiful. They EAT ALOT so if you are on a tight budget this probably isn't the breed for you!
