You now that you mentioned it I did see the water less shampoo and I to was a little optimistic about it ...the lady @ the store said all you do is give it a pump and its like foam ....you rub it in and controls odor ...but iam gonna wait till I hear from some one who has use it for sure .

Dino the cane corso needs a bath twice a month...the pit mix only needs one once every 3 months or so...she doesnt stink at all...the wipes are nice for about 5 minutes and then he starts to stink again ;)

yogi gets a bath once month, or anytime he gets into some smelly creek or something.

if your 160lb dog sleeps in bed with you, you really dont want him to be smelly.

also i have found it helpful to always have a towel by the door, i wipe him off after walks or trips outside.

The waterless soap is useless in my opinion. What's the use of cleaning the dirt, if you can't rinse it away. If you just need help with smell, it might be worth trying.

you can wash the dog whenever he starts to smell but I wouldn't do it more than every two weeks... they can get dry skin if you do it too much, when I used to groom I found that staying away from citrus shampoos was a good idea...smells good but very irritating. oatmeal shampoos are pretty non-irritating and make sure you rinse the dog well. if you brush the dog a few times a week you will also reduce the need to bath him as often. waterless shampoo is useless. I bath my dogs every two months in the winter and every month during the warm weather because they spend more time outdoors

I don't bath my dogs very often and have never had an odor issue with them.
Aurora we groom before shows and Joe Boxer maybe 2x a year. We brush often and that seems to work.

I also wash my girls 2-3 times a month I use Paul Mitchell oatmeal shampoo and conditioner for dogs'. I water down the shampoo 50/50 it seems to work better. My girls have awesome coats which could have to do with Omega 3 supps and occasional salmon for dinner. Even everyday I wipe them with a damp towel before the go to bed. They love to dig and wrestle in the sand and dirt and grass. My yard is grass rock dirt and sand in the dog run, they prefer the dirt.

We had some waterless shampoo but I don't really like using it. I just wash mine when he stinks but he doesn't mind baths at all.

He really doesn't ever "smell" so unless he's been rolling in dirt/mud or gotten into something stinky. No regular bath schedule...

I bath Mamma when she gets stinky, I use baby wipes on her back end as at night she leaks a little so at times she's stinky.... For shampoo I buy baby shampoo at the pharmacy or oatmeal shampoo and find it does a great job and is inexpensive. Like others I keep a towel at the door for feet when we get in from a walk.
