Pimples/stys/ingrown wiskers?

My bullmastiff has a small sty on one of her eyelids. It is really small like a pimple so far right on the edge of her eyelid and it isn't bothering her at all so far. I showed the vet last week when we were there for shots and he didn't seem concerned. Another thing now is that she suddenly has a bump on her muzzle near her whiskers that seems like a zit almost. Lol. Any of you ever had to deal with these kinds of things? Any advice? 196744_10150156272456894_509206893_8084300_1869567_n.jpghere she is. Her name is Loki and she is 16 weeks old. The sty is on her right eye lid and the bump is on the right side as well but on her muzzle. I think you might be able to see.

I had an English Bulldog that developed bumps on his chin and the vet said it was "acne". He gave me a cream to put on his chin but I can't say I really saw a difference using the cream. It eventually went away ( after I ran out of cream). I think it was called panalog. Lillie has something on her chin that kinda looks like the same thing. I haven't taken her to the vet for it yet.

Yes both my CC have acne from time to time I found the best way to treat is wash their faces with mild soap and water after they eat. If your dog is a digger like my girl whenever they come inside I wipe them down with damp cloth.

It also can be pyoderma I believe it is called a bacterial infection.

Hello! I'm so glad I found this BB. I have a 2.5 year old bullmastiff. He gets those "giant zits" thingys. The get little white puss heads and can be popped, at which time a mix of blood and puss comes out. Gross, sorry! Anyway, I'd love to find an fix for this. At one point I put her on a limited ingredient food and that seems to work but then they recently starting coming back. Then I thought I noticed that the broke-out more around her heat cycles. She'd still intact. Another theory I have is that she dose get her mug in the dirt often and has been known to eat some pretty gross stuff! So, I'm wondering it it's not bacterial in nature. It reminds me a lot of a staff infection. Any and all info on this topic is much appreciated. Thanks!

Yup, you really need to keep after cleaning their faces. Make sure to clean all inside the wrinkles too as they can trap dirt and bacteria in there.

I have had boxers and they have been known to get "pimples". I have heard it could be related to plastic food bowls. Not sure, but you could try switching to stainless bowls and see if that helps, that is IF you are using plastic. I have heard some say that their dog tends to get them after chewing on a kong. Might try washing any toys a little more frequently???

You can also do as noted above and just try to keep after cleaning his face more. Good luck. I hope it resolves for you.

My Neapolitan got puppy acne and I used strydex pads that humans use and it went away within a few days
