It's time to get the pond ready for winter and it's not looking nearly so pretty now. I went looking for the pictures to remind me how pretty all the front landscaping was when everything was in bloom. I thought you guys might enjoy some pictures.
After these pictures were taken I added in some scarlet Lobelia in the back and to the sides. Also some Borage, brown eyed susan's, and some marigolds for filler. I brought in all the King Tut grass (cut back) and the Elephant Ears. Supposedly they can spend the winter in the house if I keep the pots in two inches of water. I hope so. I got them for $2 each, but they're $10 each at the start of the season and I'd rather not spend that much. Also the fish. I put five goldfish in and only four made it. They're spending the winter in my kitchen because the pond is too shallow in our area for them to overwinter outside. The three orange fish are Porthos, Athos, and Aramis. The calico colored one is D'Artagnan. I'm a nerd.
