Im hoping some owners with intact bitches will be able to shed some light please. Mooshi is not yet in season but I don't think its all that far off as she is pee'ing constantly while on our walks. She cocks her leg more and more as well, especially on our street walks now. She will purposely find mounds of leaves or grass to pee on and will even cock her leg on hedges and shrubs now too. I counted on Sunday when we took her to the woods and she pee'd 8 times in 10 minutes, the first 6 in about 2 minutes!! Im assuming all bitches go through this when they are due to come in to season?

It's been a long time since I've had a dog in heat. I seem to remember slightly more urination but not that much.

I don't know anything about it but I absolutely love that Mooshi is such a bitch that she even marks like a boy!!! LOL

Nowt wrong with that AB, nowt at all. I kind of guessed she might be, and I love her and accept her just the way she is. Even though she will go to hell for it, its just not natural all that being gay. hahahaha!!

Yep Kris and I have pictures to prove it. She is getting quite good at it lately and certainly could teach Bear a thing or two. LOL.

I know its not uncommon for bitches to get UTIs when they go into heat, so if it continues it might be worth having her checked, otherwise though she's not the first bitch I've heard of who marks her territory like a boy!

I think its more common that we realise Ruth regarding marking. Are there other signs that go with an UTI I should be on the look out for?

That was my thoughts but like I said it has been a long time since I have dealt with it.

Tammy would your vet let you run in an urine sample without charging you an office visit?

The 2 heats that Duchess went through I noticed increased urination. Even if it was 2 drops of pee, she had to put it all over the yard & I would just think of that song but change the words a little... "my pee brings all the boys to the yard..." Yeah I have no life. My yorkie mix on the other hand has been spayed since she was 6 months old, she's 7 years now & she marks. Even lifts her leg a little when she pees sometimes.

When Xena went in heat she would do the same pee constantly and everywhere she could outside. yes even lift her leg up. She actually tried humpy Thor.
