P. S. Thanks for the compliment on Bella! I do think she is beautiful...I am quite falling in love with this black brindle color :)

As a huge fan of the breed and somebody who has 1...I would say that is a great looking cane corso. If it is mixed, it is very well hidden(highly unlikely). Your corso is better looking than some of the "low end" breeders I have ran across. Diamond in the rough!

We were a Boxer family before we got our CC. Lol, well wait let me rephrase that, my husband was adamant that he was a Boxer guy through and through and our home would NEVER be Boxerless... I converted him. Don't get me wrong, I love Boxer's. I love their look and their personalities, they are the joker's of the dog world yet take their families very seriously. Our Joe loved everyone, unless his "kids" were involved. I can't tell you how many times his demeanor went from goofy happy boy to dead serious when the new person went to greet our son. Joe would stiffen, position himself in front of our son and "move" Massimo back out of the zone of the stranger. Once his boy was clear he would go back to being Joe Boxer :) But a CC is a whole new ball game. We are now Boxerless, Joe passed in Feb :( , and my husband is now all about the Corso. Although Boxer's will always have a special place in his heart, I do believe that the CC is the dog we will never be without.

Yes Cody, you are right, and I am finding it out daily, the CC is a whole new ballgame. When boxergirl asked me if Bella was looking "normal" in my household, it gave me pause, and I had to really think about it. Bella is the first pup I have ever had that isn't "all over me, all the time". I know that a lot of this probably is because of what she went through before I got her, but she is certainly the most "aloof" pup I have ever had, and, the least "vocal". I've worked hard to get her to trust me and build a bond, but it is rare that I am given "puppy kisses" etc without having to beg and "humiliate" myself to get them...lol. She does want to be where ever I am and follows me around constantly, but unlike most of the boxers I have had in the past, and certainly my last boxer she does not seem to have the "need" to be constantly be touching me with some part of her body...Yes, a whole new ball game, but I am enjoying learning the "rules" and the new wonderful information I learn daily (a lot of it on this forum) about the CC. Bella is a gift to me...for many reasons, and I believe that for whatever reason, she and I are meant to be traveling the road we are on together :)

She definitely looks like a corso. If you have the time to look at my photo album you would see that our little one Spartacus looks just like her.

I Certainly have to agree. That pup is georgeous and as a CC owner myself I'd say she's 100%. And I commend you for adopting. I adopted my guy "Bear" and I love the breed. You both will be very happy with each other I assure you. Corso's are VERY smart and they'll make you laugh every day! As other's have said, the head structure, dewlaps, feet, heavy-bone, eyes, and even the white patch on the chest look Corso to me.
Speaking of coat, black/brindle is common and it's remarkable how soft it is when you pet them! Also, for a large dog, you'll be surprised how agile they are if you haven't noticed allready!!! Enjoy her! :)
