  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

On a scale 1-10 how friendly is your cane corso towards strangers?

lol @ corey. Same here! Our cc (really mine) is still a pup, I have taken him to the elementary school when picking up my daughters and was cool as a cucumber. my kids lab is a a ball of energy X's 10 and she is a barker. The cc is mine and from researching socializing is very important. Since he had his ears done he needs time to heal so next week i will puppy class will begin. I am hoping his friendly mellowness continues.

IF (1) LEAST and (10) MOST.

I'd say a (9-10).

On my property or in the vehicle, Drago will make eye contact if a 'threat' is too close. If the person continues he will lock eyes, then he will not move until they pass the property line. Once they do he will stand up and posture, staring them down. If they move within 20 feet of the house he will confront them. If they continue he LIGHTS UP, if they do not stop he will absolutely attack. If I tell him to stand down he lies down with his head on the ground and puts on his 'lazy.. IDGAF, aloof' look.

Here is the cool part.

If a kid runs up to him when he is guarding the front laying lazily in the garage he will lick them.

He will not chase anyone that comes near the property.

and..

If it is a man that possesses a 'testosterone vibe' he gets REALLY assertive and intense.

If we are out and about with him on the leash in a public place like the grand canyon he's cool. A lot of Asian tourists wanted him to pose for pictures, it was pretty funny. When he saw some teens pushing each other jokingly it did push his alert button, and he laser eyed them, then he was corrected and went back to chill mode. He does not enjoy being petted by anyone but children, women, or his family.

He rocks! Go Drago.

I've been looking at this breed for over a year now, and this is what I'm concerned by. I fell in love with the breed because of their aloofness and the ability to become "socially neutral". I am constantly at horse shows or camping and things like that wear I want a dog that is focused on myself and paying attention to our area and activities. How do you tell which ccs are going to be what way?

You need to find a good reputable breeder that has stable lines. A good breeder will be able to pick the right pup when you explain what kind of temp you are looking for.
