I am the new owner of a 10 week old Lab/Pit/Mastiff name Rufus, I know this forum is probably for purebreds, but thought it would be the best place to ask. I have had large mix breed dogs in the past, Rufus already has a big sister at home Kali(8yr), Lab/Pointer/Dobie she is around 80 lbs, and my late Bubba was 90 lbs... my question is this, since he is part Mastiff (his Dad was 120lbs), should I be feeding him any differently then I did my other dogs when they were puppies? I keep reading about large breed puppy food, ect...... I am getting a bit confused. I would appreciate any help anyone could give me. Thank you so much in advance! :)

Welcome to the forum.
Giant breeds do not require puppy food for a variety of reasons.

We would love to see a pic of your baby :)

Cute puppies. Mine are like 18 weeks and have never been on puppy food either. I feed them Earthborn holistic meadow feast and they are thriving.

Welcome. All dogs (and their people) are welcome. I've had great advice to help with problems for my non mastiff as well as my EM. He's cute.
