I love seeing yours in action. They all look great.

I think everybody gets how protective they are but until you own one(or more) it's hard to understand just how serious they are. Ziva alerts to a lot more sounds then Cane. She will take off and go to the front door on most any loud sound. Cane will look up and I tell him "momma's got it", He will let the girls crash the door but he will get up and lay across the bottom of the bed, where I'm sitting, facing the door....just in case. Do yours have quirks like that?

LOL quirks, i could write a book with all there little quirks. Do your guys go into a different mode at night then during the day? Mine are more relaxed in the day but as soon as the sun goes down, its all business lol. They do alot more sitting and watching off the porch and out on the hump then running around and playing. They can hear alot more at night , it gets so quiet that you can hear someone fart 4 blocks away hahahahaha plus living higher up then everyone else they think its their domain down below. Everyone that lives below us can be out an about and the dogs dont bark at all but there is one guy that only comes to his house once a month or so and the dogs bark at him all the time and are locked onto his house when hes home, its weird we know when he comes home cause the dog kick up a stink, yet the guy that lives across the street, his house is down below us but his garage is up behind his house on our street and he was burning a few weeks ago and the dogs barked a few times and then just watched him, walk around and add stuff to his burn pile, they see this guy once or twice a year but its like they new he lives there, filas are to smart lol

That's funny! Ours are just the opposite. However, all 5 of us are locked in one bedroom at night. Who's your Alpha?

ME lol im alpha, after me its my female kiva, she takes no crap from anyone, she doesnt hesitate to charge a bear, it was on the other side of the gate and she charged at the fence when she seen him and would not let up even after he left she still stayed at the fence snorting and growling and looking in the direction he went, she shows no fear, i wonder how far she would go, like would she engage the bear as far as biting him, i really dont want to find out hahahaha shes my baby

LOL, Cane lets me think that I am 90% of the time. Do you have a pecking order after that? Ziva likes to lord it over the little ACD, but has never hurt her.

Wow, I would be so paranoid about the bears. Worse we've had is a possum trapped on the porch. Luckily, the only thing ours did was nose the crap out of its butt. He had his head buried behind a box of bird food. We had the dogs on a leash and wouldn't let them get it.

the order would be humans as alpha, then Kiva, then Steve as for the pups, i would say hazel, then victory and then karl. The girls had a dust up one day at feeding time and it used to be victory over hazel but after that little dispute, it was alot of noise and skin grabbing lol it became hazel over victory ever since. Everyone gets along very well and they take turns pushing each other around in playtime and it rarely gets out of hand, they pick each others butts all the time , its funny to watch, like little kids bugging each other. I have a video of what im talking about, Karl starts picking on Hazel and he goes to far and she puts the run on him and he stops and just walks away, it normally does not escalate into a fight and then they become buds again a few mins later. Never a dull moment around here lol. Im just uploading the vid to youtube so i will post when its done

Nice pcs and vids. Kona deff barks at alot more stuff at night. Far more alert. At least till everyone is laying down. One thing kona does is block entrances. If your in the bed room she will lay in the door way. In the bathroom she will lay in the hall. I agree AB they cant really be explained. You have to experience them.

Im trying to upload but my laptop shut off cause i didnt have it plugged in grrrr so it stopped my upload,so trying to upload it again, heres one, im standing part way up the side yard that goes up the mountain side, i was hoping the 3 hooligans would chase each other like they normally do at break neck speeds up and down but they will not preform for the camera. I will have to take it from the kitchen window next time so they cant see me hahahahaha, if you notice karl is above victory in the bush right at the start of the vid, he looks like a lion waiting in the bushes,i thought he was going to pounce at her but he didnt, of course lol, he was stalking victory, they are a hoot!

Heres one of Steve getting his ass handed to him by his kids hahahaha, the kids are getting to be just as fast as he is and love to try an catch him or each other as they run past each other. I would love to try them on some hogs, i think they would make good catch dogs, they know how to work together. The two females remind me of lionesses hunting, were one (hazel) will chase the prey (steve or karl lol) towards the other (victory) laying in wait to pounce on them hahahahaha.

please post the vid. I would love to see it.

this video comes after them knocking steve on his butt lol, hes had enough and walks away to the hump and then karl decides to harass Hazel. She puts up with it until she bites his ear and then its game on, he thinks he is tough but shes tougher hahahaha. Hes doesnt like confrontation so he submits to them. And when i ask him to speak he should have went off, this dog is the most vocal dog i have ever had and when asked to be vocal he doesnt say a peep lol. He jumped up on me at the end because i forgot i had some little sticks in my hand that i picked up, thats what he is looking at.

LOL your always welcome, but unless your part goat i dont think you would like my land hahahaha, you could do what a few people do out here, squat on crown land, they have built houses, and lived there for many many years, these people also raised i think 7 kids that way. In this day and age you can live anywhere , thanks to solar panels and generators.

Alright! We have serveral goats right now, I'll do my best and study. I already have the language down, she calls to me every time I leave or step outside.

That way I get to study your crew up close and personal. Its like national geographic in 3D!

Awe i miss my goats lol. This is a picture of my old girl, she was the best dog i have ever owned, she was my heart dog and mean as hell, she got me into hot water a few times as she was a sneaky biter lol we had some wild times lol. She was also an excellent natural born herder of goats, sheep , hogs, cattle anything i wanted her to do she did it.

The goat she is herding was an escape artist, so she was returning him to his pasture lol

Im sure if you get up close it will get personal hahahahahahaha, these pups dont like nobody , they even hate the baby sitter lol they allow him to be there but they do not go near him hahahahaha he can let them in and out and give them a treat but no touchy and they have known him since birth, he owns their brother.

Careful of those goats, DD. I just had to have me one, cutest little thing when I brought him home. We became bff's....until he got about 6 months old. He started getting his horns and that was not the only thing horny. Little bastard would try to hump me every time I went outside. As soon as I would get out the door, I would hear BAHHH....BAAAAHHH, Turdface would come charging from where ever he was. I never felt so dirty in all my life. LOL

I do have to admit it was funny as hell to watch him chase the German Shepard around the yard and try to hump her. I shouldn't have laughed, bad karma. The goat quickly turned his attentions to me. Wish I would have had a Fila back then.
