First of all , Hi everyone I'm Bojan and I'm very pleased to find this forum.

This is the case I got 2 and half months old CC puppy and it's immunised and all well except that from his left side just where the ribs end there is something pointing looks like like a litle ball , on touch it really feels like it's one of the ribs and it's moving to the inside when I push it a bit. The thing is the pup isn't reacting at all it's behaving like what ever , but it worries me because it's not simetrical since there is no such thing on the right side. I'm gonna take him to the vet do X-ray maybe too on monday when it opens but until then , should I be worried ? please help me

you can maybe notice it , I can get him to pose for me :/

also I'm about to read the forum but until then all other tips are welcomed.

Welcome to the forum. What info I can give you is that my mix breed has something exactly like your describing and it turned out to be a floating rib cage..my vet said it's nothing to worry about.

When I first got Hector, he was lean and on one side there was a rib bone protruding. It was the last one. Did not go to the vet, he's now gotten bigger and filled into his rib cage and he is fine.

It could be a fatty cyst with the way you described it. They are harmless in most cases as long as they don't continue to grow.

What a sweet face!

I'm sure the vet can poke at the lump and make a good assessment. Sounds like there's a good chance it's nothing to worry about at all.

Adorable pup! I can't see the rib sticking out in the pics. Sounds like it might correct itself but to give yourself peace of mind, take him to the vet.

Hey ;)
My pup had exactly the same thing until 3-4 months and just on one side ... As the time goes by he filled out and now you can't see it anymore . Don't worry it's fine !

P.S. nice puppy !!!

one more thing I'm interested in is how much exercise is enough for him , how much is too much and how much is not enough ? I'm carefull about their hips and joint problems :) don't even know how to detect if there are some :/

Until about age 1-2 yrs, they should not over jump, over run or over walk the pup. Be extra careful around stairs especially going down the stairs.

Puppies will play and when he starts to jump hard or run hard, then do your best to get him to calm down.

You will notice hip/joint issues when the pup either starts to limp or limps/walks and yelps in pain, those are some of the clues.

An early sign of joint problems can be stiffness when first rising that improves with activity. Not many people realize this one, I know I didn't.

It could also be a floating rib. Apparently my female has this and the vet considered it nothing to worry about

You can walk the pup, he still needs exercise. Depending on the weather, I'd walk him about 30-40 minutes in cool weather and about 20 minutes in warm/hot weather.

Mastiffs overheat rather quickly and they usually start heating up around 75 degrees.

I would not recommend walking him 1 to 2 miles until he's older, at least 1 - 1 1/2 yrs old.

yeah I don't have a problem walking him , I'm also taking him with me at work I secure a large milk factory that my father owns , and we are doing few circles in the morning which is about 350 meters per circle , and few in the afternoon. I think that should be OK. He is also 90% of the time with me except when sleeping , he has his own room :)

My pup also has something pointing out of his ribs, I notice it when he's drinking, eating or sniffing. I asked the vet also and she told me this is perfectly normal. My puppy is only 11 weeks, I've been doing the opposite of what everyone's saying and have been exercising him, I recently stopped after joining this forum and reading more about his breed and type. He does seem more antsy at times but I guess it's better in the long run with his joints and development.

I just can't believe myself how much I love this pup , I was keeping a burmeese python until recently when my half-brother was born and he was practically my life. I had to give him away since it can literally swallow the baby and was let free to move around the house. I never thought I can love a pup this way but it became the biggest part of my life except my wife
