Did you grow up always having TM's in your house?
I find it interesting how they make the distinction of at home/off property.
Also find it amazing how deeply they observe things & learn & make decisions.
Tessa took it upon herself to know each house we walk by & even the cars parked there. If someone new or a different car is there, she lets me know. I'm inner-city, so there's a lot of different people in/out. Visitors on weekends can make for a long walk as she needs to check out every odd car.
She also loves the children's playground, I've taken her there since day 1. She knows every child in the neighborhood that goes there. She could sit & watch them for hours if I let her & if some odd adult approaches, she's on alert. There's a LOT of unsupervised kids, but she's got it down to a science for which kids belong to which adults. I'm pretty sure she does this all by sense of smell, but I've never seen any dog make connections like that & show such an interest.
She also likes to watch them play basketball/baseball/football-I believe she actually understands organized sports to some extent, meaning she understands it's a game & not just a bunch of people throwing a ball around-it seems like she anticipates some of the plays & understands there are teams. I'm not into sports--but I can watch her watch them & it never gets old!
