There are dog shirts/vests that have pockets you can put ice packs in

make dog icey poles, by freezing stock in 2L milk containers. Stab with a knife a once frozen and give your dog some cool pillow he can chew, sip and hold on his legs to cool the body.

Wet the dogs legs thoroughly. Especially where the veins meet the surface

Drape a blanket on floor, and soak it with water, let the dog lay on it to cool down.

use the paddle pools you have

provide plenty of shade and free access to water

play water games with them for exercise with hose pipe if no rivers etc nearby

spray the face with water to cool

on extreemly hot days, (its gets up to 46degrees where i am). I fill up buckets of water, for emergency cooling if the dog goes into heat exhaustion.

Exercise dawn and dusk only

leave them alone to sleep off the midday sun

Put ice cubes in a old pillow case

I have a wheelbarrow to carry my dog into water should it collapse, i know that sounds exteme, but had to drag a 8 stone rottie into water to save it from heat exhaustion 2 yrs ago, i nearly broke my back doing that.

It is great advise except for wetting the dog, this actually raises the dogs core temperature and has the opposite effect of what you want. The ideal is to wet blankets or towels for the dog to lay on, but you shouldn't soak down the dog.

what about bullmastiffs heat tolerance? Even if its short haired dog, is this dog bad to have in a hot and humid climate.

Living in South Florida with a Neo, I try to always monitor his time outside during the hot part of the day. I let him run around and play in the morning or late, after the sun has gone down. I never leave him outside.

Get them an evaporative cooler they work well in desert climates, not sure what your climate is but you could always get a large electric fan, maybe one with water misters.
