Just got my Corsos ears done I was a little concern because his ears are not erected .....is it because he is just 6 weeks and his cartilage isn't strong enough ....I hope appreciate any input thanx .

They will come in time. You may have to post them. What crop did you go with?

You might have tape them up with something. Some people use tampons or mole skin but it depends on how short they are cropped. If they were just done I would expect them to be standing just yet as it take time for the cartilage to harden. Can you post a pic of the type of crop he has. Our crop isn't as long as others so we didn't have to post them, we just used lotion and massaged the ears several times a day to increase the blood supply. They were standing after about a week, if I am remember correctly.

They don't look too high so you might be able to just get away with rubbing them to increase the blood flow and have them start to stand on their own in a bit. Have you contacted the vet that did the surgery to see if they think they should be posted or if they have recommendations to help them stand up.

Yes I asked the vet about his ears he said there was a 90 % chance that they would stand on there own just was a little worried because I had my APBT done I understand its a different crop but they were up as soon as I brought him home ......but thank-you for your input I am also rubbing neosporine on them .

I think you will be fine...just give them a little time and do what the vet recommended and keep rubbing them. My girls still jump up on the bed and want their ears rubbed so I guess they thought it was more a massage then anything.
