Need Book Recommendations on Mastiff Breeds

If you had to choose one book to recommend to someone on your specific Mastiff Breed (English Mastiff, DDB, Cane Corso, etc.), what would your recommendation be???

I have already read that several people have recommended ~ Dogue De Bordeaux: A Comprehensive Guide, by Joseph Janish ~ for the French Mastiff.

Please chime in with any other recommendations. I am specifically interested in those breeds that I listed above, but feel free to recommend books on other Mastiff breeds too :D Always looking for good book recommendations

Thanks so much!

"The Saga of the Dogue De Bordeaux", written by Raymond Triquet(founder of the breed) is by far the best book on this breed....extremely hard to get, and youve got to get in English if you cant speak French. Ive got it and it's very profound.

As for the Corso, I have no recommendations....Ive never been satisfied with anything Ive read. I think those "Comprehensive Guide" books are just "general" crap. But Ive never read the book Cody recommended.

I am pretty excited, I am being sent a packet of books from a friend via Dr Flavio Bruno, the godfather of the Corso so to speak. I will post some info once it arrives, luckily my husband will probably be translating most of it :D

The reason that I dont care for the "comprehensive guide" books is because it seems like they all are just trying to appease whatever federation or association the breed is a part of. Everydog is described as "powerful", "noble", "large", etc., etc. There's a lot of the good, the bad and the ugly that you can"t get from these books.

I have the Joseph Janish book for Dogo Argentino's. I just googled him and apparently he's also done DDB (as you mentioned), Staffys, and even the King Charles Spaniel. I thought his Dogo book was pretty spot on. There is a little bit of the pandering that Caleb mentioned but I would still recommend it.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I will look into those that were mentioned. Please let me know if you think of any others. I am always up for other book suggestions!
