My pup is just about 5 months and eats almost 6 cups of kibble a day.... she is not overweight and looks excellent... seems like she requires this amount?! anybody's pups eat this much?

My girl is 6 months and I give her 6 cups a day, I thought it seemed like way too much also. But I think her body looks perfect maybe even a few pounds too thin. I have read (from this forum many times) that a tiny bit on the thin side is ideal for a growing Corso. :)

Ya just keep an eye on her body and the quality of her poops. As long as her weight looks good and her poops are nice and solid you are doing well.

We still have to make adjustments with the amount we feed every now and then. Diesel started to put on some pounds and wasn't showing as much tuck so we cut back his food recently then it looked like he was loosing too much weight so I added a little more to his diet but not as much as he had been eating before. But, he has also recently reached adulthood (almost 3 years old now) so I think his metabolism started to slow so definitely it was time for an adjustment.

I was also going to ask about poops.... if there are LOTS of poops, or they are soft... that could mean she's not digesting it well (and you should try a different brand and/or base protein), or she's eating too much of it and doesn't need to.

If poops are good and solid, and she's maintaining a trim weight on that amount... it's a good amount!
Denna was putting on close to 0.5 lbs/day of lean mass at that age, which can take a lot of kibble. :)
