My New Reading Buddy

Kahlua has recently learned that if she "asks" nicely I will let her join me on my bed while I am having my quiet reading time. She loves this time because it means she gets to snuggle up to me and take a nap or quietly cuddle a stuffie and she gets me all to herself.

So when my I got my brand new book she got very excited to see it and gave me all kinds of sad pitiful stares until I picked it up and started reading so she could snuggle in with me.





And this is why she wants me to pick up the book:


It's all about the snuggles. Sometimes she likes me to read out loud to her also... but this isn't a read out loud to her book. I did read part of "A Dog's Purpose" out loud to her. She liked that one.


She even lets me take a few pics with her if it earns her some cuddle time.


Don't worry Diesel gets alone snuggle time also (minus the snuggles since he doesn't actually like to snuggle). Last night his alone time was after dinner. But, I have to be careful about the camera around him because he hates taking pictures and so most the time I just want him to enjoy his alone time and let it go (unless he falls asleep and I can take pics without him knowing). :-D

Thanks!!! The secret is that I take sooo many that a few are bound to turn out somewhat okay. There are typically far more blurry or dark ones or butt shots. I have far too many photos of the butts of my dogs. lol

THOSE EYES!!!! OH, man. That dog could get away with murder at our house with those EYES!!!

Have you thought about getting her set up as a Reading with Rover dog? Sounds like she'd be a natural.

DennasMom - And she knows how to use those eyes! She is a master manipulator for sure. When she wants something (love, food, etc.) She pulls out the sad eyes and also does the rolling onto her back thing and lots of kisses.

I can't! And this is why she is my reading buddy, my bed time buddy, my voting buddy and my everything else buddy. She wants to always be with me and she has learned that if she is calm and quiet she can usually get to be with me and I will even let her cuddle the whole time. She is starting to teach Diesel the trick (the quiet and calm part... not the cuddle part).
