Well, she is only turning 9 months and just totally loves everyone, outside the house. It funny my Mother came and stayed for a week and Laufey wouldn't leave her alone. My poor mother never wanted to get up from the chair because Laufey would jump up from sleeping and run after her. Scared my poor mother half to death. Believe me, I never take my eyes off of her. Does the hating all dogs, not include the one she's raised with, my sheltie? What do you do if you have to take them to the vets?
We've always made sure to have lots of people over to the house while the dogs were young. Athena is actually really good about letting people come in. New people still have to ignore her. She'll check them out and then lay down. I would say that you might want to start inviting everyone you know to your house. Some TMs will not let people in the house. Early socialization is really important.
We have two friends that have keys and they've been coming over randomly when we weren't home since Athena was a puppy. They are probably the only two people that could get into the house without us. That's also something I would recommend.
Athena is fine at the vet for now. I make sure I'm the one holding the end with the teeth or doing any restraining. If she starts acting aggressive toward the vet, she'll have to wear a muzzle.
When we brought our puppy home, Athena wanted to eat him. She got better after a few days but wouldn't let him have anything for about a month. We had to do a lot of work with her resource guarding with him and the cats. She's fine now, and they get along very well. There is also a Golden Retriever on the corner that she loves.
She's just very guardy and is convinced that new dogs coming toward her need to die. Since we've gotten her spayed, she's been a bit more mellow. She still hates the other dogs but it's much easier to redirect her.
