Hey Mydog, this dog doesnt look bad to me. the color is fawn and the markings (as i know them) is referred to as "blood hound" marking. That does not mean that she is mixed bred with a bloodhound just what we normally call that type of marking. I like her length and she looks pretty well proportioned as far as I can tell. I dont like the way her head looks in the sitting pic but it could just be the pic. I'm not on FB right now but maybe one of the other members "girldogue" (Suzy) can take these pics and post them on one of the CAFIB forums and ask for a good crtique and see what others with a good eye for this sort of thing say. to make it interesting you can withhold the pedigree info although i must admit I am curious. I have seen some dogs with this markings but i know many dont like it, I dont care for it either but I dont believe it is out of standard. Posting in a CAFIB forum might produce some comments from actual CAFIB judges as I admittingly dont have a good eye for this.

Dog looks familar to me, did you get her from a lady in alberta? If its the same female, i do beleive it is from eshabeta stock. The lady got out of filas and this was a pup out of one of her breedings, nice lookin girl but then again i am partial to eshabeta stuff lol had them for over 20 years.

So i came across some interesting video, i figured i would post it here instead of the other thread talking about neo/fila mixes as it pertains to the original poster of this thread.

oh yea, lol. you can see the bad head better in these pics...I can say now that he doesnt even need to show pics in the CAFIB forum... this dog is most def. NOT a CAFIB fila brasileiro.

i could have told you it wasnt cafib, its from eshabeta stock, sounds like this dog has passed hands a few times, remember a couple years ago on one of the fila lists her name was sara bories, she was the dogs original owner, not sure if it was a pup of hers or bought from dawna

ahh, yea I remember that name. I dont like to say right off the bat that it isnt or is CAFIB type because pictures may be bad and sometimes hide certain traits but just from some of those head shots you can see that there is something not correct (for CAFIB) and if this dog is def. from eshabeta stock then that put the last nail in the coffin so to speak.

I am so confused

Right there with you. I'm guessing Filas are a rare enough breed (especially ones that color) that the Fila experts on here can 100% tell that the dog in the first post is the same as the dog in the advertisement. I will say the front shots look the same. The original poster obviously hasn't come back to confirm.

Babyjoe,

Our discussion on the BYB thread had moved to an advert for Neo/Spanish Mastiff cross puppies -- I believe found by Smokeycat. You were proposing writing an email to the advertisers to ask them to at least be clear they were talking about a Fila. Mountainfila posted a video on THIS thread showing the Fila Mum -- (who is the original poster of this thread's Fila) -- AND the Neo dad. So our (BYB thread) Neo/Spanish mastiff advertiser = Original Poster on this thread.

Jadotha thank you. I thought that is what was happening here. I just wanted to figure it out to be sure. I didn't want to "assume". I am shocked to here she is 6 and just had puppies (if its the same Filas). And if its the same girl being rehomed so much is pathedic. My heart is sad but my everything else is pissed off.
She's old, he's young, and not informing potential buys to research Filas is irresponsible.
