I am new to the forum and figured I would introduce my pups. Doakes is a Bullmastiff x treeing walker hound mix and is roughly 3 and half. Jemma is a Cane Corso and just turned 2 1/2. So i will be posting some pics of them at various stages of thier lives. Jemma Young.jpgDoakes and Jemma Playing Young.jpgDoakes and Jemma.jpgDoakes Young.jpg

So she is 2.5 years old and 79 pounds? What kind of food are you feeding her? My girl is 19 months old and is 83 pounds, she has been this weight for a good 6 months. She may fill out a bit more, but she is on the smaller side of the standard, but I am okay with that. Your girl might be that way too. She is a pretty girl :)

We feed her taste of the wild and we leave her food out so she can eat as much as she wants. She tore her Achilles' tendon about 8 months back and after the surgery she never really filled out again. She is just very lean, but my another family member rescued the runt from the same litter and she is much smaller but filled out proportionately. Either way I love her to death.

Sorry to hear about the surgery she had. I bet that wasn't fun for her or you :) I think she looks good too, and I think lean is better. Easier on their joints and better for their overall health. Taste of the Wild is a good food. Perhaps she is a bit bored with it? My girl was bored with hers and not really eating...I switched her to raw and she LOVES it.

Welcome!!! Our Gemma is 19 months and 91 lbs. She is lean also. She was at around 79 to 83 lbs. for the longest time but just recently hit a growth spurt. Your jemma looks fine. IMO too much emphasis is placed upon bulk cc's should be lean and active.

Welcome to the board! We have corsi that all range in weight, but some are harder to keep weight on and they can't seem to eat enough food to maintain it. If she is really that thin then there is a recipe on here for something called Satin balls that might help to add a bit of weight to her.

Had a friend with a Tree Walker Coon Hound and another friend of ours has black and tan coonhouds :) Can appreciate them from afar but the baying is not for me :)
