Maybe a weird question about sunblock...?

Now that Sacci is older and I'm on the mend, we will soon begin training for 5k, 10k, and 1/2 marathon runs. We will be in the sun quite a bit. Since she's black with thin, short fur and dark skin (which absorb sunlight), should I use sunblock on her? If so, how? I know it may seem like a strange question, but I don't want to end up with a sunburned puppy! I never would have thought about it with other dogs because their fur is so much thicker than a CC.

The tip of the nose (nostrils) is the most sensitive part. Never use just clear vitamin E, it will magnify the rays and cause greater burning. The typical waterproof ointments for for swimmers and surfers will work fine.
