Has the vet done a deep scrape to confirm? I'm sorry, but I don't remember how old your dog is. I think a puppy? Demodectic mange is often self limiting and due to an immature immune system. Many vets choose not to treat dogs with localized demodex. I had a boy with generalized and we dipped him, but that was many years ago. I think Ivermectin is the choice now, but hopefully someone that knows for sure will chime in.

Sarcoptic mange is a whole different beast and it's zoonotic. It's important to be 100% sure what kind you're dealing with.

Ivermectin is a common treatment for Demodex mange. My boy however, had an adverse reaction to it. I found that Nu-Stock combined with Bravecto cleared him up within 6 months. I recently heard of someone successfully using essential oils to clear up Demodex mange.

I had vet look at it today but we didn't do the scrape because I was there for a complete different reason but the dr said he is sure it's demodectic. But he didn't prescribed anything cause I was there for my dog having a fever and an abscess in here boob area

Seriously, before you go the super chemical vet route that takes freaking forever, go to Amazon.com and get a tube of "Nu-Stock". Give your dog a good bath and then after drying start rubbing the Nu-stock in all over it. I try and avoid the eye area as best I can. Repeat every 3 days for 3 applications and see where you are at with things. It works great and the only real downside is the smell. Sulfur and pine, mmm mmm.

Nu-Stock really does work, but be warned that if you choose to use it the smell will permeate your entire home. Anything the dog comes in contact will smell like sulfur and numerous washings won't get rid of the smell. Definitely keep the pup off of any furniture you like. Most localized demodex will clear up on it's own given time. It's sometimes hard to tell when it takes months and months to clear up if it was a particular product or time and a maturing immune system.

I wouldn't let my dog lick Nu-Stock. Where is the area located that you are wanting to treat? Do you have a picture?

Well it's spreading pretty rapidly it's all over her back and tail I even see some small patches around her eyes and nose. I don't have any pics but when I get home tonight I'll take some so you could see

If it's spreading rapidly, I'd want to have a skin scrape done. Just to be sure what you're dealing with. That sounds more generalized and I might consider treating instead of waiting. I'm not sure why the vet didn't just do a scrape while you were in. If you do have one done, make sure they scrape deep. It should draw blood.

My dog had demodex mange the doctor prescribed chlorohexadine shampoo its medicated shampoo used for a range of things. I had to wash her every other day for 3 weeks it cleared up after that. It was to much for me to do so I think I took her to petsmart or something for them to wash her with it. This medicine I think you can just ask for at the vets they use it for foot fungus on dogs too. Hope this helps

With her being immune-busy at the moment with the abscess, I'd be leery of doing any chemical treatments... If you can keep the mange manageable with the Nu-Stock, baths and low-key topical treatments (maybe coconut oil?) until the abscess is on the mend, I would do that. It could be that her system just got overwhelmed with the boob-injury, and the mange got out of control. Once you get the boob healthy again, she should hopefully be able to kick the mange mites out for good. Keep us posted!

Try diluted iodine baths, 1 part iodine/ 5 parts water. Wipe her coat everyday with this solutions and you should see results in a few weeks.
