Looking for good kong stuffers and "treats" for raw diets?

I did a quick search but did not see a treat specifically made for kongs. I use to make a "pupsicle" out of yogurt and peanut butter, I'm assuming that will work and possibly be healthy at the same time. I would love more suggestions(or a different one if that does not sound like a good idea;)) I was also considering a ground tripe/trachea mix to freeze inside. I am still trying to work out treats to balance with the meals. Thank you!

Hi there. I put a portion of their daily food in the kong with some banana and peanut butter to seal it up. Then I put it in the freezer for a few hours. I have also put some brocolli stalks in it and carrots with peanut butter to seal it up and freeze.

Counting the treats as part of the meals works for us Weighing them to start out but pretty quickly you will be able to "guestimate" the weight. A word of caution on the tripe - if they don't eat it all be prepared for a horrendous foul smell as it thaws in the house. We do frozen tripe cookies - my hubby took one of his saws and cut the frozen 2 lb cubs into rounds that we keep frozen. Dogs love them in the heat and the don't get the chance to smell with needing to thaw 2 lbs at a time AND they only get them outside. :p

Anything that can be stuffed in the Kong and frozen works - changing it up helps too. We've done jerky and peanut butter, hamburger, ground chicken. If you dog likes it normally try it in the kong.

Thank you for the ideas. I just ordered my first green tripe(a little scared due to the strong smell warnings! lol) and like the idea of frozen "cookies". For now, I will try their lunch portions to occupy the mid day heat boredom. I also think this will be great for the small dog who has to lose weight. She cannot gobble it all at once!

I get freeze dried kibbles and stuff them in the kong with a little peanut butter and/or coconut oil, then top off with a bigger 'cookie' (standard variety from "Wet Noses") to seal the whole.
DH is a better kong stuffer than I am, though... he can really wrench stuff in there!

I'd rather not have raw juices all over the living room floor - or the couch... which is sometimes where the de-stuffing occurs when we leave the house.

I think mine will be quite messy today! I have to leave for 8 hrs(very unusual) so I stuffed a kong for each with chopped chicken, peanut butter and one egg(split between both dogs) and they are in the freezer. My nephew will come by and let them out to potty and stick them back in cages with kongs. I've never done this and wanted to be sure it was something they could not choke on at all since they will be unattended. Someone please tell me if this is not a good idea! But I need to know before 2pm. Lol
