Lillie is being spayed next week Monday. I decided not to go with the spay/neuter clinics in the area. She is going to one of the vets I use. I didn't want her to be at a clinic with 20 or more cats/dogs having procedures done in one day. With that being said, is there anything I need to know...or look out for. I have had other dogs/cats spayed and neutered but not a giant breed like Lillie. How is their pain control? I plan on getting her a pain shot, do I need to get additional pain meds? The vet uses staples and not glue because of her size. I really wanted the incision glued but he doesn't do that.
