Licking Almost Down her Throat

I have a very strange issue. My close friend has a Collie/Lab mix and a golden retriever. I bring my catahoula and Topaz over all the time to run them all together, as they have 10 acres of woods to play in. Well, Topaz and Skipper (collie/lab) are the younger ones, and are always going at it. I don't mean fighting, but they are treating each other like bratty sisters. They will growl and snarl at each other over toys, but Skipper always gives and drops it for Topaz. And then sometimes when Skipper starts growling and showing teeth, and Topaz starts licking Skipper's mouth like CRAZY. Even to the point where she becomes obsessed and won't leave Skipper alone. She kinda starts shaking from excitement and will follow Skipper everywhere licking Skipper's mouth. And THEN the weird thing happens. Skipper will open her mouth (Still growling) and Topaz will start licking so far down, it goes into her throat. And we swear Skipper LOVES it.

Does anyone have any idea how to take this situation? It's just so weird, I don't know what to make of it. I can't tell if it's a good thing that Topaz is being submissive to her, or if it's a bad behavior and should split them when they do it. I've never seen anything like it. I'm going to try to get a video of it on Wednesday night when they are all together again too.

Yea its her being submissive. She may or may not continue to do it. I wouldn't seperate them for it, they are just working out who's where on the chain of dominance.

OK Thanks. We are going to Disney next month and leaving the dogs with them, so I wanted to make sure to work on this correctly. We are going to put the dogs together as much as possible between now and when we leave so it's going to be no big deal once we leave. Hopefully they will have it all worked out by then. One moment Topaz is growling at Skipper, and the next, Skipper is growling at Topaz. But then both will be submissive too. Strange stuff. The licking the back of Skipper's throat just had both my friend and I completely baffled.
