Hmm, I kinda want to try one of these for Dozer since he just lays on the concrete floor when it gets hot. But he's almost twice the suggested weight for the large size! Do I, or don't I?

Oh no! My dogs musnt be hard on the beds. I had the cheapier fabric one from coolaroo as crate beds and it lasted a couple of years before the cover became shredded. My friend also has 4 coolaroo beds for her pits and they are all fine and almost a year now. To be honest I haven't really really used frisco ones yet but the fabric is much more sturdy.
Here's something else I noticed after using the Frisco beds; it pulls their hair out. The kennels with Frisco beds are full of hair, and one of my dogs has actually lost all the hair on his lower leg from it. I'm going to try the coolaroo, their mesh is softer.

omg, you might be better with the smooth vinyl top then like kuranda or maybe a petcot but those aren't $20. Have you tried to put a cover on those beds?
The reason I got these particular beds is because of how rough my dogs are with their possessions AND the particular two that have them love to eat blankets. A cover would be a snack!
