Killer dog???

Brought my Brutus to the dog park today, and this guy comes with a yellow lab and singles my dog out and sluring insults. Saying they shouldn't allow dogs like him in the park. And I heard him say pitbull. So naturally I ignored him and started laughing to myself. A half hour goes by and he starts walking to every person at the park saying stuff about my dog. That was it I went off and told him off don't worry about the dog I'm more of a threat than he is. And btw he's not a pitbull you fucking Moron. its a breed called cane corso, you wouldn't know the difference with your 3rd world mind set. Leashed my dog and left anyone run into problems like this????

People do suck and as soon as you forget some uneducated moron is always right around the corner to remind you!

What Smart Family said. People suck, not to mention they're stupid. I've never had issues with Apollo other than the usual "omg, he's huge!" comments. But my little guy is a New Guinea Singing Dog. Most people don't have a clue what that is, but I've had a few, who after being informed what he is, pull back in horror from petting him saying "but, aren't they WILD dogs!!!"

Yea that's why I left.. I seen myself ready to get pretty ignorant. considering this dog is like another child to me. So insults won't be tolerated

I have an EM so I don't get the pit bull remarks but I do get "that thing is too dangerous to be allowed here" or even better "take it away it's scaring my dog". Normally their dog is either playing with or trying to attack Kryten. I normally just make some sort of smartass remark about how their DOG looks scared or how he's not the one whose growling, call my dogs to come and walk off. Works best when there are other people around to see them being moronic but I've found that staying calm tends to make them back off or at least shut up. As long as I still feel that my boys are safe I refuse to allow morons to dictate where I take my dogs. There have been times when either an owner or dog has made me decide that it's time to go.

I get both extremes...some days the people at the dog park can't stop asking me questions about Crickett and the corso breed. Many can't stop petting her and giving her love. And then.....you get those stupid, rude, and narrow minded individuals that immediately think she is vicious....and the presume this only because her ears are cut. I am so short tempered about it now...I have no problem telling anyone to go f themself!

I avoid dog parks because of the stupid people!
My dogs are fine, I don't trust the moron's being able to have any iota of control or dog sense.

Concur with everyone else as to why I am not a fan of dog parks. Stupid people are everywhere that's unavoidable unfortunately.

I'm not a great fan of dog parks either. I haven't had anyone mistake my EM Boris for a Pit Bull -- in fact, when we first brought him home some people thought he was a lab puppy (do they come in brindle?). However, several people thought my harlequin Great Dane was a HUGE Pit Bull, lol.

Who the hell doesn't know what a Great Dane is? Morons.

You'd be surprised.....when I had my black dane who had cropped ears he was mistaken for a Doberman and even a Labrador Retriever....WTF.....My BLUE great dane Thor was mistaken for a St. Bernard........I know Saints work in cold weather but really?????

People are stupid...plain and simple.

If any dogs should not be allowed at dog parks it should be the little crappy/vicious ones.

Didn't you guys know? If the dog is black, then it's a black lab. Or if it has a blockier head, then it's a pit bull. There are no other breeds in this world...*back into my bubble*

Prior to Ruger I had APBT's and Of course, I dealt with shit like this all of the time because they are Aggressive and dangerous! (That just makes me irate). I now have an EM and I get mixed things. Some people are honestly just curious (How big is he, how old is he, How big will he get) and I have been asked several time is he is a St. Bernard and a Great Dane. I see no resemblance at all but what do I know. Since he has gotten bigger and his head has begun to fill out (He is 162 pounds), I was walking him at a park and a guy actually said (To someone else of course) They shouldn't allow people to walk "those kinds" of dogs" here. This is just a park, not a dog park and of course Ruger was leashed. We were walking, nothing else. Ruger didn't bark, growl or even notice the people. I really tried to just keep walking but it made me so angry so I asked him What "kind" of dog he was talking about to which he replied "That kind" so I pushed and said "what kind is he?" and the dumbass said: "I am not talking about the BREED, I am talking about being allowed to have large, agggressive dogs in the park". I explained to him that he ws an ignorant *#@&***((*&&^%&())^%$#@@ and asked how he was aggressive....His response "He is big enough to kill someone". I just left.....I seriously hate people, always have but more so each passing day.
