I did a breeding (last month) of True CAFIB Fila Brasileiros (2010 CAFIB expo Champion/best female/best temperament X A very well bred Unifila stud 2nd best temp of expo at 1yr IMO!!)
I will be doing a sonogram today to see if she is pregnant and to see apprx how many pups she may have.....This breeding is particularly exciting because bothe dogs come from excellent lines (Brazilian imports), good/proper temperament and both have proper health testings....not many bred like this in the world let alone the U.S.
Please keep your fingures crossed for me as we def. need this breeding to happen to improve out Filas in the U.S.

Hey Guys,

There must be something to this finger crossing business...It worked! lol. She is preggo w/ 8-9 pups according to the ultrasound tech..
presa, do what I do...I just bring home the dog and brace for the onslaught, lol j/k. as usual breeders have first "dibs" after me and 3-4 are already spoken for.

I will def post pics.. I usually post pics of ea. at least once a week and once they could stand I take one sitting and one "stacked" once every week so people could really see how they are developing structure wise. I am throwing around the idea of video taping the whole thing inc. the umbilical cutting, weighing and of course the birth of ea. pup...would anyone be interested in seeing something like this or are there enough of these videos out there? let me know, might not be so professional looking but you'll get the gist of it.

I recently watched a friends litter be born on Skype, was pretty cool to watch. Almost as good as being there

not quite sure how to make the whole skype thing happen plus I am sure you guys dont want to see the 1/2hr (atleast) of waiting till the next pup comes...I am planning to do every birth/cleaning/umbilical cutting/weighing and first suckling....not first rate movie making here but just basic stuff.

May 28th...Im going to stop the camera during the "down time" between pups....last time it took about 8-9 hrs, too long for movies.
