Jack's Growth Thread

_9 Weeks - 27.0lbs - 14.5"
10 Weeks - 33.2lbs - 15.5"
11 Weeks - 36.6lbs - 16.5"
12 Weeks - 40.0lbs - 17.5"

Growing at a nice even 3-4lbs per week. He's growing about an inch in height per week too, just like Lincoln did. Jack just started a little shorter and a little heavier. He's eating about 3-4 cups per day, plus some treats during training.

Way better. We're not 100% there yet, but he can hold it much longer now and even heads over to the door now sometimes when he has to go.

I understand that. I had the opposite. When I first brought Magnum home, Ruger was so excited and ready to PLAY but the baby wasn't big enough. It only took a few sessions and Ruger understood that he had to be easy. Of course now they go at it full force. Is Lincoln not teaching him when he is being too rough?

Not really. The pup will grab Linc's ears or lips and make Linc cry, but Linc doesn't immediately put the pup in his place, just yelps. 10 minutes later Linc will get over-excited and start pinning the pup, or jumping around him being too ruff, but by then the pup doesn't associate the biting too hard with Linc "teaching him a lesson".

Half the time the pup is too ruff and half the time Linc is too ruff. 99% of the time they're both too loud. ;)

13 Weeks - 47.4lbs - 18.0"

Before you get too worried, I was a day early week 12 and a day late week 13, so it was 9 days between weigh ins, not 7. Still gained a lot of weight, but not a ridiculous 7.4 lbs. Not real confident on the height as he was squirming like crazy.

Things are going well. Jack's finally got the potty training down. Most of our time is spent keeping Linc and Jack from playing too rough.

Sounds like there adjusting well and he is growing like a weed.
By the photo's I'd call him a fawn with apricot hi-lights or is it just the lighting or flash?

How about a video? :)

Linc and Jack playing. Linc almost steps on him...which is a constant fear.

Jack looks way more red in person, especially when you see him and Linc next to each other, however he's not a really dark apricot.

I don't think Jack will break if Linc steps on him. You could always put a rubber chicken on Jack's collar to keep Linc away. :)

Jack is getting so big already!!!

Linc is handsome as always.

It was cool to see them playing together!

Actually, it looks like Linc is very aware of his footing around Jack- at least from this short video. I understand your concern, though...but CR is right. I don't think he'll break if he does get stepped on.

Such nice looking Mastiffs. :)

Thanks....yeah, Linc's only partially stepped on him a couple times. Probably once for every twenty times Jack has made Linc yelp by gnawing on his lips or ears. Poor Linc. :(

Per request..some pics. Some are repeats from FB for those on there with me.

First...here's our skinny 50lb puppy. Definitely not over-feeding.

Body from the look, looks perfect, not to lean and not heavy.
Can really tell he is growing a lot with Linc as a ref point.

He looks cute as hell, great work.
