I was sooo wrong about the shedding!

Holy furballs Batman! I noticed my black shirts were getting a good bit of Jade fur on them this week. So I broke out the furminator and was floored at the amount of fur coming off. So I gave Jade a bath and oh what a good girl she was. She just stepped right into the tub and let me shampoo and wash her with no arguments at all. Then dried and back to the furminator. I got about a quart mason jar worth of fur off her and more was coming. I guess double coat means more work. My pit bulls never shed like this but I think they are single coated.

I was expecting more fur from Denna by now... but no matter what brush I use, all I get is about 20 hairs after a good 5 minutes brushing... Not sure how long this good luck can last... but I'll take it while I can!

Did you save the mason jar? Maybe for a sweater?

Kryten is shedding a storm right now. I have found his hair on the table I sit at at work!

DM, No I didn't save it but if you ever want pillow fur let me know Duncan can fill one twice a year. Jade settled down now I think the bath helped, but boy is she shiny now.

SC, I found Jades and the boy's hairs on my stove tonight! Time for some real furminating this week!

Titan is shedding a lot this year. I brush him every other day and it's a lot of hair. Forget about it when I vacuum.

Barron has been shedding up a storm as well. We went from a +5 degree Celsius day on thursday to a +30 degree Celsius day on the weekend. So he basically decided to blow his coat ove rthe weekend. We Bathed him as well and it got worse lol. Buying another brush today as he decided to chew the one we had to pieces.

You guys want fur?? Try a TM...now that is fur! hahaha. This picture is just what I got out of her legs a couple of weeks ago, i have had 3 times that much since and its still coming. TM's shed so completely that when their undercoat is out you can see their skin, literally! At the moment she looks like she has alopecia with just her ruff and some mane left.

lol! I was thinking the same thing MM....Apollo's not that far along, but yup, they shed out so much you can see their skin through the outer coat!

You expect it with a long haired dog. Many people don't expect heavy shedding from a short haired dog. I know it surprised me when I realized the worst shedder in the house is the short haired dog instead of one of the 3 long haired pets.

^^ What Smokey said. Remember I have 2 RottenChows so yes I know what long hair shed is like. Duncan sheds at least twice a year.
