WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got him down and got a huge workout in the process. Holy crap was that hard. I am gonna be SO sore in the morning.

I got up on the 3rd level with him (yay for being child size..lol) and pushed with my body. Damn did he fight me but eventually I won and managed to push him down to 2nd level. He tried REALLY hard to get thru the boards. I tried backing him down to the first level by pulling his back feet and putting them on the steps but the lil turd held on with his front paws and pulled himself back up. So gave up on that. So I tried the earlier tactic of pushing with my body and after forever managed to get his feet and body on the slide and pushed him down. He dug in so he went down fairly controlled..thankfully.

Yay! ;)

Dumb dog was just trying to get back up on the 1st level.

I was really sad that we were gonna have to leave the playhouse when we moved...not anymore. Still sad for other two but I can't do that again. My back can't take it.

Apparently it wasn't traumatic enough Ruth. He thinks he can do all the same things that the other two can but he is too big and he is huge baby about stuff. Oh the things our dogs put us through.

Yes Mom will but Mom doesn't want to darn it. That was so not fun. He is too big, too strong and way too darn stubborn! The only thing that saved him was that I am more so than him and would not take no for an answer.

I think tomorrow I am gonna have to figure out how to Leo proof the playhouse without making it so that the kids can't
play and Rocco can still get up there. That is Rocco's favorite place. He spends 99% of his outdoor time up there. We have closed in yard with a 6 ft fence so they can be out there as much as they want without supervision.

I'd be thrilled that he's trying to go back up - it means he's not traumatized by the whole event!

I was going to suggest using the other dogs as 'trainers' - send them up and then call them back down... make it a fun parade in front of him until he decides to follow the other dogs down. If the other dogs didn't cooperate, you could be the parade... make it a fun event or a 'trick' instead of a 'command'.

I've taken Denna to the local school playground just to play on the big toy and get her used to walking on the moving walkway/bridge... just for confidence building. I had a dog in the past that was afraid of heights - he would 'slink' very, very slowly when using (solid) foot-bridges across roads, pushing to be as far away from the edge as possible. Funny to watch, but very stressful for the poor old dog.

DennasMom..he other dogs go up and down in the playhouse all day long. They did a bunch of times while he was up there too. My kids and I did as well. He "knows" how to do it. He is just a big baby and is too scared to go down the steps. For some reason he does not have the same fear of jumping almost 5 ft down to the ground at the climbing wall. I just know how bad that could be for him and his joints and everything else. He just wants to go up there because the other dogs do it. That and Rocco take toys and bones up there. When he tried to go back up earlier it was because his favorite toy was there. I just don't want a repeat of tonight. Maybe I will just let him up to the 1st level and when he gets the hang of that proceed from there.
