In Boerboel we call that an ultra brindle. And I would swear that this dog is a Mizpah Line Boerboel if you didn't tell me he wasn't. He is stunning!

Honestly I'm thinking the same. If the guy didn't want $1000 for his papers I'd get them. The ears are what get me. I've seen some Cane Corso with Big ears but most have smaller ears. I'm gonna do some research on that breed and see what I get. Lol Isent there a test that can tell the breed of dog? I wonder how expensive it is. :-/

Something a friend just told me

"Yes, Cane Corsos and BBs look very much alike even as adults, but even more so as puppies. The Odi lookalike could be either. If he's Corso, he'll develop more of a stop as he grows." The stop is from nose to head transition.

The area between the eyes will become more steep compared to a boerboel.

Very interesting. I'm looking at a pic of a ful grown boreboel and looks just like his dad. Even the build. Hid dad was very muscular and weighed 180lbs

The thing I've questioned as he has gotten bigger is his nose is longer then the Cane Corso pups I've seen and he has less rolls and a more filled out face

The Mizpah line of Boerboels have longer more slender heads and muzzles like Odi.
I found a couple things that might help.

Jade is a Boerboel with Ysterberg Mastiff in her line it makes her more blocky and square.

Odi has no Ysterberg so he is more slender like your pup.

Odi looks like Nicolo. He is tall was 18"-19" last Vet apt. 2 week's ago was 36lbs

A Boerboel tail is Saber (curved upwards) shaped if it is not docked. Odi was 38 lbs 2 weeks ago 14 weeks old.

Did/Does the breeder have Boerboels on his property? But again the two breeds are very similar.

No. He told us both his dogs are Cane Corso. Both are all black. We got to see both parents
