Hi everyone,
My boyfriend and I already have a boxer/lab mix and we are looking to get him a friend. Right now a friend of our works at a local animal shelter and she has some neapolitan/dogue de bordeaux mixes that are 3 months old that we are seriously considering adopting. However, our only concern with getting one is that we are going to completely underestimate the amount of food the dog will need to eat in a month.
We know the dog will be roughly 125 pounds because the father was a neapolitan mix that was about 135 pounds and the mother was the dogue de bordeaux who was about 110 pounds.
Does anyone have any ideas on how many pounds of food this dog might eat in a month? I know sometimes you have to kind of test to see how much is good for the dog, but at the same time we know they will be eating quite a bit since they are going to be big and growing very quickly over the next few years.
If someone could help us out and answer that would be wonderful!
Thank you ,
Allison
