how long to freeze pork?

I know it's wise to freeze your raw fish or pork before feeding, but for how long?

I have seen freeze it for 3 days and 3 weeks.

I have a 10 pound pork loin cut up and need to freeze it, but for how long?

Opinions?

Depending on where you get your pork, freezing might not be necessary.

I'm in the NW US, and often feed pork straight from the grocery store.
Wild pork or boar, I would freeze, but I don't worry about the farm raised hogs.

Fish that I buy is normally either still frozen solid or "previously frozen"... so I don't normally worry about it, either (again, grocery store fish for human consumption, too). NW Pacific salmon scares me, so Denna only gets cooked leftovers from our plates for salmon....

Any pork that is bought at a grocery store is fine to feed fresh. Just like DennasMom, been doing it for years. Anything that is not subject to USDA inspection I would freeze and even then I would be leery. However, many people feed wild game without a problem. Just educate yourself on any parasites or diseases that is local to where you sourced it from.
