I am new to the mastiff breed. I recently got a 1/2 mastiff 1/2 golden retriever puppy. He will be 6wks old on Tuesday. Its going to be interesting to see how this guy grows. Right now he is almost 11lbs. He is a very cute puppy.
At 6 weeks, you're going to have a lot of extra work to do with him, bite inhibition, dog etiquette, etc., things he should be learning from his mother and littermates over the next 2 - 4 weeks.
And you'll need to be double sure he's not exposed to other dogs or taken anyplace where he might pick up parvo or anything else. Just be careful -- as I'm sure you intend to be
