Have you ever seen a Fila attack "for real,"?

I am looking for stories and/or videos of an actual Fila attack, can only seem to find the "temperament" videos with people using tools to work the dogs up.

Just trying to get an idea of what a Fila would be more likely to do, as I've found myself in a frustrating situation. Would a Fila be more likely to attack until a kill, only bite a few times, be satisfied if the person ran away, chase someone, etc.?

My guy is almost 11 months old and is starting to show a little bit of ojeriza. He will bark if he hears animals, a leaf, wrong noise on the tv; really he'll bark at almost anything lol. He has a few times charged out and stood barking in front of people that decided to come up my driveway uninvited. Right now he will only go up to them and bark, and as soon as I say something he stops. However, he usually hears them and is out the door before I even know anyone is there.

Here's the frustrating part. I have 50 acres in the middle of the jungle. I do not want visitors and feel I have made this abundantly clear. My house is up a 300m/1000ft extremely steep hill. I have a barbed wire fence, and a sign that says "Attack dog on premises, no trespassing."

This has not stopped anyone. They go so far as to undo my barbed wire. It's mostly people that "know" me, so they think these measures don't apply to them. They come to sell things mainly. I've told them to not come up because my dog is dangerous and if I need something I'll find them, to no avail. They continue to come whenever they want something and are not deterred by the big barking beastie.

So it's always in the back of my mind when he charges out that maybe this is the day his full ojeriza kicks in and someone is going to get the raw end of it. Until then I continue to work on cue response and hope it works should he ever attack.

Every dog is different including a Fila. I've only owned 2 Filas. When I had them agitated my male stood his ground and tried to get a bite. My female ran to the back of the yard. I believe that my male would have put enough pressure on an intruder to either run them off or he would take him down but not in a vicious rip body parts off kind of way. On the other hand, the female that ran, I believe would rip anyone to pieces if they came into the house. She could be evil if she was cornered and felt that she couldn't escape.

I don't know the laws in Costa Rica but I would never allow my Fila to run out after people unless I was sure that they were there to do me harm. You never know when their temp will kick in at that age range. If that happened in the states my dog could be put down, I could go to jail or/and I could get sued. More than likely all three.

The few times that people came to my door, I would leash my male and open the door, I also have a glass screen door as a barrier. People would leave pretty damn quick. Did that once to the Jehovahs. I'll tell you one God damned thing, they have never come back even though they are always in the neighborhood. LOL

the only 2 Filas I know won't run towards intruders but they will stand their ground. And any intruder would be crazy to move towards them...honestly.

Post a sign that says your attack dog has ebola!
No, not funny. Sorry. I can't imagine people being that stupid. Unfortunate that if anything happens, they will blame your dog who is doing his job.

Yes. this is a true story about one of my pups. owner of the pup (then an adult) was moving away to a different state and had already relocated his vehicle there. He had his Uhaul packing up last minute things and realized he had to get something at the store. When he pulled away some neighborhood kids (older teenagers) believed that he was gone for good and decided to break in and rob the house... The Fila was still in there. When he came home he heard screaming and noticed blood everywhere. As he walked further into the home he noticed a young male on the floor leaning up against his window with his Fila attached to what was left of his thigh. He grabbed his bitch off the kid and told him to stay put and he called the cops. When the cops arrived they noticed another kid low crawling by the side of the house, he jumped out the 2nd story window and shattered both his legs. The kids tried to sue but it got thrown out. She was a good lil bitch, hard but not the hardest I've seen before. I had her Temp tested about a year before that and she did very well for a green dog but nothing crazy. You never know. Put locks on the fence and maybe a battery operated fence to home communicator.
