We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.
Well when I had a team of Alaskan Malamutes way back when they didn't even consider booties. I used either a polar fleece with a velcro wrap around or a neoprene booties which are good in any condition. You do want a flexible bootie....one that washes also. Go into any site that has dog sled supplies and you will see what I am talking about. You can even make them yourself and if they do wear out...you can make more. They are great!!
Betty, Thank you for your input; however my question was really directed towards an English Mastiff owner. My Mastiff is an average 240lbs. which makes a difference when it comes to dogs and size.
Actually, you can make them any size you wish. I have mastiffs myself, CCs and they don't mind them either. I have also used them in vet clinics when you need to treat a patient with a paw injury that is slow to heal. But if you are looking for an actual booty from the pet stores...I know they can be a difficult fit. Again, my suggestion is make your own.
Betty, He would really need some kind of rubber sole since he is a big dog, and if I made them out of material they would probably wear out the first try. How do you make yours?
