Our new Taso, Marrok, has a very sore tail tip. It's bleeding sporadically, just manages to stop and be okay and he goes off into happy wag land and re-opens the wound. It's not ulcerated or infected but poor guy!
I did read about putting bag balm on it and then bandaging it also to watch he didn't chew and swallow said bandage. I am also trying to re-arrange the house a bit to give the wildly wagging tail a bit more space.
Any hints, trick, words from the wise for a new Mastiff owner? Any red flags to watch out for as far as tail wound care? He does not even seem bothered by it (or the flying blood droplets), never licks or chews at it but still I don't want it to get worse for the poor big guy.
