Good Dog Brush

My English Mastiff is starting to shed a lot, especially when he rubs up or should I say pushes up against you. he leaves tons of hair on our clothes. I know he could use a good brushing. What kind of brush do you recommend for a this type of breed ? I'm sure he will enjoy it and so would I with less hair on our clothes.
thanks in advance

with smooth coated dogs the "furrminator" works really well or even a regular shedding blade

What I use and love is a Zoom Groom by Kong. It is rubber, fits in hand great and I use it at bath time.

I second this. Zoom Grooms are fantastic for short-coated breeds, and it's rubber so it's very comfortable for them, like getting a skin massage. I like it better than the furminator, personally. Gets out lots of hair and my dogs like it much better. I, too, use it during bath time as well as regular brush time. It fits well in ur hand, easy to grip

Mongo

I tried the furminator on Mongo and it didnt get ANY hair. It was purchased for the cat and works great.... but not short smooth coated dogs.

i actually like the furminator. yogi is half st bernard so his hair is a little bit longer than standard EM short hair. i can get quite a bit of hair and he seems to really like it.
