Nice!
They thankfully aren't the problem here in AZ that they are back your way but we do have a few pockets of them.
I find it interesting that Az won't allow hunting them in the Topock marsh area.
I'm buying a place there and while driving past the marsh one morning I saw two hogs grazing, estimated at 200 lbs each.
I checked and there is no open season on them in the Topock marsh. Guess they are waiting until they over run the place, typical governmental move.
There are some up near Camp Verde and some down by benson from what I've been told. The only ones I've seen here personally were south of Florence but were 300yards+ and all I had was bird shot and a 22 pistol on me.
In Houston got some piggies. 3 fat sows. This am.View attachment 52905View attachment 52906me with my pals and cur dogs
I know absolutely nothing about hog hunting, so understand that I'm not being judgmental or anything. Why does one hunt hogs? Is it just sport? Are feral hogs a problem and hunting helps with the feral population? I'm in an area where I've never heard of anyone seeing a feral hog, so this is new to me.
Hi there AZ Boerboel, I figured there were some feral hogs in our state but didn't know exactly where. Interesting to know that there are some south of Florence, as that isn't too far from where I'm located in Avra Valley. Whereabouts are you? Do you know of anybody who hunts hogs with dogs in Arizona? I would like to learn more about this & probably participate too.
