flooring question

We are currently renovating our house, As my husband owns a marble and granite company I was going to have Marble floor tiles but since getting Nero I'm now thinking this may not be best for him. After reading this I'm now thinking of wood. And I agree Mooshismum ur house looks fab!

we have hardwood in the kitchen. Carpet every where else. The hardwood was a problem when the puppies were smaller and more active. They would get a running start from the carpet and the hardwood was like a slip and slide. It ended with a crash into the cabinets or a split or a belly flop. Never had any injuries but it could have been detrimental to hip health. One is dysplastic and the other is not. No way of telling whether the dysplastic dog;s hips were aggravated by enviromental factors or not. But once they were grown and the energy level and playfulness subsided, the floors became a non issue. Best of luck US1
