Hi everyone! I work at my local humane society in Dayton OH and wanted to share a special boy we have for adoption in our kennel. His name is Hank Pablo and he is a gorgeous Dogue de Bordeaux. He is six years old and has been in our kennel for quite a while. He was adopted once and that person kept him for a few years but had to return him because he was moving.
Hank is a sweet goofball that loves people. He can get pretty excited on walks and is very strong (of course). He is not always great with other dogs. I think he's just frustrated because of life in the shelter. He will not approach people right away in the kennel and will bark at first, but when we bring him out to meet people he is happy and silly. He is well taken care of but of course a shelter is never an ideal place for any dog.
He does have wobblers but still gets around just fine. I have a video from a couple weeks ago of him running in the snow and chasing a ball. He is still playful and active. He is also gorgeous. He's a wonderful dog and I think its a shame that he hasn't been adopted yet. I think people are intimidated by his size and the fact that he barks and won't always approach the front of the kennel. He just needs someone that understands the breed and can meet his needs.
If anyone is interested or knows somebody that might be, contact me for more info! Or visit Humane Society of Greater Dayton website and check him out there.
