Dog registers questions

I guess ultimately the fact is they are your dogs and you can do whatever you want with them within the law.
Further there is probably no way to truly register your dog with no pedigree from the parents, there is a reason for this as most originations that register dog breeds do not want the breed diluted.
You can certainly breed your dogs and sell or give the puppies away, they may all well turn out to be amazing dogs, but they will not command a large price as they will not be registered nor will they ever be able to be registered by any recognized breed origination.
You may be able to get 5 to 9 hundred dollars for each pup, but this may not cover your expenses for proper pre natal, post natal and puppy care.
I hope we haven't burst your balloon but this is just the way it is for many reasons that you don't have to agree with but it is reality.
I wish you the best of luck with your pack, and you are correct, these are amazing dogs!

No where did I claim to be or consider myself a professional breeder. I have a profession, that is what pays for my dogs and their silly habits of wanting to eat, their perchance for nice toys and beds and any vet bills which arise.

Any of the people that contact me for a pup have a reason for not wishing to have a puppy from rescues, either they prefer to compete, they have young children and want to ensure temperament or perhaps a preference for a particular breed that they can not find in rescues around them. We have a waiting list for those people some of them waiting for well over a year before we produce a puppy. My puppies/dogs I produce also do not end up in rescues/shelters taking homes from others that need it, it is clearly laid out in the contract that should there be any issues at any time the dog returns to me regardless of age.

You have no idea if I am bettering the breed or even what the temperament is on my dogs to know what my program entails on if I am bettering from where I started or not. You are quick to assume that you know better with all your vast knowledge of how many years? How old are you dogs again? And of course you have had more than just a general vet check them out for the sake of their health to ensure that someone that can see what is going on under the surface has assured you they are as healthy as you think they are, right? I also don't breed to pay their medical bills, that is almost laughable, I have 6 dogs that get routine medical care as well as quality care required when extra-ordinary be it normal vets or specialist, for all of my two litters that would have eaten up the funds I supposedly made likely in the first year, I guess if I hadn't kept 4 longer than the 8 weeks from the first litter and 3 until a year with the second.

As I said you will do whatever you want with whatever justification you want just as those other people have in the past. Breeders and volunteers like me and my friends will continue to help and support those dogs that end up in rescues from people who were just doing this once and it would not affect anything in the dog world, blah blah blah. Breeders that put blood, sweat and tears into their program, to ensuring that each pairing is hopefully going to be an improvement on the last rather than just throwing two dogs together because they are "nice pets" and have "good" lines, which I am sure that you have taken the time to research to make the most out of, no?

Then why would all of you who think breeding is bad unless your a so called self proclaimed professional breeder when you paid a pretty price for a pet and a companion and then say to not breed that dogs and animals need to be rescued and yet your not taking your own advice ??? In all reality you breeding is not bettering the dog breed in no way you are sustaining the breed is what your doing not bettering it and what make you a breeder ?? Why do uou breed to pay for your vet bills and see the puppy's I guess and yet you sale them from 1 to 4k a piece you justify you breeding the dogs in your own way in your eyes your "bettering the breed" and in my eyes your not you do it for money I don't care how little or much you make that's why you do it and you can justify you breeding because you put you dogs in a nice place and feed them well as for what I want to do is my business not yours I believe by breeding my male and female I will have a litter of puppies that will make the people I give them to happy not going to a show or whatever and that's all that matter it's not what your opinion is of me or what I want to do in your eyes you are right and no other breeder or person that wants to breed their dog is right only you and your reasons to be a breeder and in my eyes if you have your own agenda you can do as you please and I am sure that you make beautiful lovely puppies and as for what I want to do is my agenda and I wont be tainting the breed or hurting this world 1 litte in the whole world is not going to harm a thing and in my eyes I will giving my nephews and close friends a stable well minded animal because I know the parents and everyone else know he parent instead of buy an animal from a stranger that they have no clue to what there breeding habits are or the temperament of the dogs parents as Edward stated they got a dog from a breeder and had a lot of health issue now what if Edward knew the people first and the dog history and temperament ???

Sometimes when people want something so badly they refuse to accept the facts of their situation.
I suspect the OP is a young person and not well read on dog breeding, probably figures that put a male with a female at the right time and let nature take over, sit back and rake in the money.
I suspect that sooner or later he or she will realize what many here have tried to pass on.
OP is welcome to breed their dog but will never reap the financial windfall he or she is expecting, however may produce some amazing pets if God is willing or it could become a nightmare for him or her and the dogs.

To the op,im not telling you not to breed i just want to tell you what happened with the last litter from where we got our cc,gandalf was from a litter of 15,our breeder was knowing of this and had everything in place incase of emergencies ect.Her first litter was 11 pups. The bitch was unable to feed the pups him and his wife were doing 24hr care to those pups, they had an accident in the car going to get more provisions for the pups his wife was hospitalised leaving just him.i suppose what im asking you is,have you got the time and financial means to do this if it occurs, not all bitches are good mums, and have you got the knowledge on how to raise pups,i dont think you should slate people like blackshadow until you know what hard work they have to put into there dogs. Now i personally think my dogs are the best but that doesnt mean im gonna run out there and breed them il leave that to people that are in the know how.We have just had budcuss all the relevant xrays and bloodwork hes 27 months its cost was high but thats to know how he is and because we care for our pets.WHAT TESTS HAVE YOU DONE.Iwish you all the luck and i prey your beautiful girl is ok,and i sure hope the pups get good homes and dont end up in the pound or get into the wrong hands and become viscious and give this beautiful gaurdian breed a bad name. But then you might think im selfish my dogs are great, loyal, great with kids, well trained so in your eyes thats enough to have puppies.

Nice words Glen. Unfortunately the only think is that some dog owners they see are money. They never ask a breeder or to allow them to see and ask informations about breeding. Even with the informations they take from forums (like BlackShadowCaneCorso, you and others) they still keep their on opinion. I am an enthusiast of this breed Cane Corso, and I feel sorry when I see somebody mixing Cane Corso with something else. When they are small puppies nobody can see what will come out at the end, and then they attach to them dogs and will continue like this forever. Exactly like the one we have here in this topic, dreaming to make a fortune from a mutt. I said that I will not continue on this post but I really fill some colleagues trying to explain what is god and wrong about this. I have a friend and his a breeder of Amstaff (American Staffordshire Terrier) and he show me a lot of Amstaff dogs mixed with Pitbull people sell as Amstaff (Same head, different body). Very sad.

I'm blown away by this thread.

I am the one the adopts the mastiffs people THINK they wanted. OK not Corso but mastiffs. I'm the one that wanted a mastiff with papers, with rights to breed, to bring to shows. I ended up adopting 2 mastiffs because there previous owners had changes in their lives or couldn't afford them. I paid near what I would have paid for a new puppy for Linc at 5 months. He has no papers. I got him fixed because no way in he'll would I dare take the chance breeding him.....oh did I mention EVERYONE LOVES HIM. He is the best most amazing beautiful well mannered lovable dog ever.....not my words. That's from everyone else. Oh and did I mention I am getting a female mastiff from a rep. Breeder. Never ever in my life would I dare become a BYB with these guys.
OP shake your head
