  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Does your dog sleep with you?

Thankfully Kryten prefers the floor next to the bed. He will lay on the bed (currently just a mattress on the floor) for a while but only if he wants to cuddle. To sleep he will get off and lay on the floor but I have woken up with Jiggers pressed up on one side, Kryten on the other side, one cat sleeping on my pillow and the other two cats laying on top of me.

Mystic is not allowed on my bed or the furniture, I do not want to fight my dog for either one. :) Although she tries every night to get in there.

Titan is up and down all night on the bed. He's so gentle when he comes into the bed. Half the time I do not even know he's there until I roll over on him.

Junior tries to. I'm fine with it, but the wife... not so much.
In my previous life, both of my past dogs were allowed to sleep in the bed. And the 4 cats.

No, beds are for humans. Plus, my bed is too high to be doing him any good to be getting on and off of it. I wouldn't like to think that I'm sleeping in shit because I know they step on shit and who knows what on occasions (sigh). Two dogs sleep in the same room as humans and I think that's already being too nice >.<

OMG!!! I laughed hysterically at your post! It's like you're sleeping with Zeek. What do they dream about??? The only thing that sounds different is that Zeek likes to drape his head on my legs so it's not uncommon for me to lose feeling in them at some point during the night.

I've shared this before, but this is what my bed looks like at night. And was taken when Zeek was only 90 lbs.

Oh I'm jealous...king sized beds. We have a double. Both my husband and I are big people, and Bailey is now 60 lbs, so with all three of us trying to stake out a personal piece of the bed it's hilarious. Eventually, I play the part of the bad Mommy and send her to her own bed, but she invariably sneaks back in during the night or when Jon gets up for the bathroom. On nights when he stays at his brother's, she can spread out, but even then she has to feel me...be physically in contact with me.
Last night was odd, I started worrying that something was wrong, instead of lying between us, she climbed up on top of me and put her nose in my neck. I'm still not sure what was troubling her, she was so clingy and needy.
Mastiffs, they are a soulful mystery...a true blessing, even when they are hogging the blankets and pillows.

No dogs in the bed but hubs sleeps on the couch most of the night with Daisy. I told him I don't care that he sleeps longer with the dog than with me as long as he is in bed when I wake up. :)

Mine sleep with me in a California king wave-less waterbed. 300 lbs of dogs and me usually all 3 of us piled up on the last 2 feet of the side bed with the rest of the bed completely empty. They used to be so good about getting in & out of bed with out waking me but as time has gone on... I started to get grumpy with them waking me up. The things you get used too though. I often wake up with big dog shaped bruises on random parts of my body when I wake up. I guess I've learned to sleep thru a lot, being stepped on, paws kicking me, snoring right next to my ear, drool puddles, ect... Only thing that wakes me now is if Loki tries to lay across my chest. He just CRUSHES me doing that! 220 lbs of dog and of course his elbows go right into my ribs too. THAT! Wakes me up! LOL Oh, and the drool dripping on me and hot breath in my face as Loki stands over me wanting me to wake up with his nose like 1 inch away from my face. After a few mins of that... it's licking till I do wake up or pull the covers over my head. Unfortunately he's caught on to that and now just moves the covers and continues to lick me.

Our current norm is, Sophie (lab) is either between or next to my legs or pushed up against my back. Loki (EM) though... I can wake up with him almost anyplace on, under or next to me, but he's always touching me. He's learned I get grumpy if they get out of bed at night to often so he's really good with staying in bed almost the entire night. If Loki rolls to close to Sophie, she'll leave and go sleep in another room. She's been rolled over by him to many times and she doesn't like it I guess. But Loki is almost always in bed with me the entire night.

Nope. Kaz is in his crate at night but then again he is only 15 weeks old and Milton who is 6 also sleeps in his crate. He prefers to and actually goes downstairs when the lights go out. We don't let either dog upstairs anyway. That's where the bedrooms are. Milton has lifted his leg a few times up there and peed and Kaz, up until a week ago, couldn't climb stairs but he has since figured it out so now he will sneak up there and is as pleased as punch when he sees us and will do his happy pee all over the carpet soooo no..I don't think be will be coming upstairs much longer. A baby gate is in order now

Clearly, I am not the only sucker with dark circles! And, for some reason that makes me feel better! Thanks!

Yeah, Lincoln sleeps with us now. He was in a crate for the first six months or so at night, but now he has free run of the house all of the time. He can be mildy annoying at times and I've gotten up at night to kick him off the bed if he's crowding me.

We've started talking about a King Sized Bed. Yes!
10:1 I'll still have hot dog drapped or snuggled up to me. Moan!...But she is the Precious, High & Mighty. She is the Baby of Love. Even Daddy likes snuggling up to the Little Miss. :doggyhug2:

Ewlizbat, no king bed here lol, just a queen and I love it. :) After sleeping on a hooker matress for 12 years, my new one is heaven. Mason kept me warm last night. I seriously might consider a weekend thing for him if the weather keeps up. If he pees at least its warm for the moment........

Yes they both do.

When I first got Fhalyn I tried setting her up on a bet next to my bed, hut that didn't work. Then tried a crate and I relish sleep too much so I didn't try to wait out her crying. By the 2nd or 3rd night of having her, she was in bed.

Now Bub was not too thrilled with this since its his bed and there have been some issues (not aggression) but more pouting and him sitting on the bed and staring at me til I wake up if she gets in "his" spot - which is curled up against me behind my knees.

It's been getting better but for a while I wasn't sleeping well. A bigger bed would be nice.

Yes, all our dogs have always slept in the bedroom on their own beds or on the bed with us. We have a king size bed and usually have at least one on the bed. Right now Opie is still in his crate at night because he's only 16 weeks and not fully trained, but Prudence, our bulldog sleeps on the bed. But in a few months he'll be sleeping with us I'm sure. Wouldn't have it any other way.
