Hi!just wondered if anyone else has a dog that won't shut up! My 5 month old boy, Bronson, is very noisy! He'll whinge and whine whenever he gets a chance and also tries speaking to us ALL the time! I've never had such a vocal dog and wish I knew what he was on about! He'll speak and whine on his walk, when hes sitting down, when he's socialising with other dogs or people or just when he wants us to listen to him! And if we don't pay attention then we have to be prepared for a whack with his paw! Does anyone else's dog do the same?!

Our EM Snookums likes to talk louder than me while trying to carry on a conversation with anyone.

Mine sings with us when we are on road trips. Well we think its singing...he could be saying "Shut the f*** up!".

My barely 3 months old bullmastiff only barks when things around her are taken from its place or to strangers. Otherwise, she's quite as a couch. Weird.

Mine will talk to me when he wants to go out. My question to you is how do you respond to his "talking"? Do you ignore him or do you give a response? A response can range from anything to looking at him, verbally responding, or body language. I also have a deaf boxer and she is very vocal. The way we got around that is to completely ignore her. When she saw she wouldn't even get a glance from my wife and I she will quit down. It might take 25 minutes but patience is the key..... By ignoring them you're not reinforcing their behavior. Even reprimanding them can be a form of reinforcement if all they were seeking was attention. I am no expert by any means but that has worked for me.... Hope that helps....
