As most of you know I am obsessed with Fila's lol. That being said what type of toys work for these guys?

And are they food motivated ?

I'm sorry CeeCee, I just couldn't resist.

CR, I will even pay for shipping. What could be better? A toy that turns into dinner. We are always looking for variety for the dogs diet. They are so tired of these:

lol @ AB, yep Hector loves toys, well certain ones. He doesn't really like tugs or hard toys. He likes plushies and he was quite fond of the squawky latex pig from walmart for the longest time and we still have it. He especially loves tennis balls or balls the size of it. He loves plushy balls, just loves balls. And yep, Hector is very food motivated. Have taught him quite a few tricks. We are currently working on drop on recall, we'll see how that goes lol.

Mine are like hector's , mine like anything to play with but prefer the plush squeaky toys, they rarely wreck them, they like to throw them in the air and all around and chase and squeak them but if one gets an inkling to play tug-a-war with one it normally will get a hole in it before i take it from them, so after that if they get the toy they just work at the hole to de-stuff it and get the squeaker. They have a toy box filled with all kinds of toys and bones that they root through all the time.

I have complete and full attention if i have a food in my hand or my mouth lol, it doesnt matter if i have human food or dog food or cookies, my dogs will eat anything that is put infront of their faces hahahahaha, i tried them with lemon the other night when i cooked a whole salmon, i gave them a lick and after that i figured the taste would have turned them off but nope each of them wanted to take it. So yes very food motivated.

MF, have you tried ginger root with your dogs. Hector had the funniest facial expression ever when I presented it to him. He smelt it and then cringe and cringe more and did a gag expression lol.

And Hector likes to dig for toys and search for them if you hide them in boxes or towels/blankets. He'll also play with the ball by himself- rolling it, hitting it, growling at it, throwing it, and chasing it. All other times he just likes to beat the old female around lol.

AB, I made Hector a cherry bomb too lol. The top part where it meets the handle is too weak and started to tear. My next cherry bombs will be made of two halves combined into one to make it stronger. You look out for the upgraded version of the cherry bomb!!!!

Hector ours is still in great shape and it has had all 3 bitches hanging on it and pulling it in opposite directions, many times and the little shits (Jezzy and Kismet) are notorious for getting the stuffing out of anything in record time.

I'll gladly take another one...ONLY if you allow me to pay for it. Just PM me your address. :)

AB, do your dogs like toys with squeakers? I noticed that tennis balls and stuffies don't receive nearly as much trauma if they don't produce any noise lol. My shepherd destroys every squeaky tennis ball in a couple of minutes and then I gave him a normal one and we still have it! This squeaky crap really drives their prey drive over the top and they become KILL KILL KILL monsters.

Jezzy is deaf and still digs the squeaker out of everything. Ziva loves to carry around a toy with a squeaker and squeak the hell out of it, she loves to hear it. Kismet loves to just destroy any and everything. That is why I'm amazed that the cherry bomb is intact.

Mine do that with stuffies, this one toy i bought was stuffed eagle and it came with 3 plush brown egg size that have squeakers in them and you shove these into the eagle, which ironically there is a hole in the butt hahaha and then the dog has to work at getting them out, well the eagle didnt last long but the eggs have held up and they love to throw those things all over the place. I also found a couple of stuffy balls with squeakers in them , they are a little bigger then a grapefruit and i got them out of a discount bin a petsmart and figured they would not last long, wow was i wrong and the dogs love to squeak the crap out of them and i have put them threw the wash a few times and they look brand new , got them about 4 years ago.

I have a similar toy like the eagle. It's a tree with holes and you stuff squirrels in those holes and the dogs will try to get them out. Well it was too easy and all the squirrels have been killed by the old female so I only have the tree left and I just stuff it with the cherry bomb and he enjoys getting it. The eagle butthole is too funny!! I'm going to have to expose you to the famous cherry bomb, MF, lol.

mine don't really like toys much....they do occassionally chew on a nylon bone and one will occassionally find a squeaky ball and make it squeak nonstop for minutes at a time.
