Corso people... need your opinion on this dog

this dog is at my shelter, I have him logged in as a pit but something about him looks different, almost corso to me, wondering if he might be a mix? The picture isn't a good one so it's hard to get a good idea but he's taller than most pits but not all that big either, he's probably about 75 lbs but lean, very dark gray, not the typical blue we usually see with the pits. tell me what you think. I notice that most of the pics I see of the breed on this forum their faces are shorter but then I've seen some pics elsewhere of the corso and they look more pitty; I've only seen a couple in person (other than at the shows) and both had a more pitty look, so I am wondering if this guy might be a mix?

Is hard to say, it looks like a pit cross, could have Corso in it.
There are a lot of different types in the CC, some do look more pittish.
Sorry can't be much help.

thanks for the input...he does act like an am. bulldg but the color is wrong...I think my best bet is to just go with pit mix... since he more than likely is part pit anyway.

Pit mix with what don't know his head seem disproportionate does not look like CC IMO.

Looks like an American Bully to me. I see nothing else, and no corso at all.

Sorry, I think I am a bit late on this but I would say Pitbull or American Staffie crossed with an Akita. The head is what makes me think Akita, same with the paws
