Here comes the age old question...
I got Major (7 bull mastiff) some more toys to keep him busy this week.
He got a large Nylabone Durachew that was peanut butter flavored and he LOVED it. He took it into his crate, laid down, and just calmly chewed on it.
After a few minutes I checked on him and there was some blood on the toy- he was chewing into it and cutting his gums.
So...that got confiscated. I'm looking for a replacement item. Something he can chew on in his crate before bed.
I also bought him a disc shaped puzzle toy. You fill it with little treats and as his spins it and moves it around it will shake a treat out. He also loves that - but once the treats are gone he decided to chew on that too. The plan for that was to distract him w/ treats for a while whne I leave to help with anxiety. But I don't want him eating plastic or cutting his mouth if I leave him with it.
Any suggestions would be great!
