I'm not big on the cropping of ears. Way I look at it is their ears were meant to look that way they'd be born with them like that. But it's not my dog so as long as you like them that's all that counts

Oh my word he is so handsome! I love the picture where he is flopped down on his belly with his legs straight out! SO CUTE!!

His ears look awesome. I can't wait to see more pictures of him as he grows!

I also love natural ears - but crops do add some majesty to the look.
And Capone sure looks sweet! I also like the straight out flopped on the belly pose. :)

Actually dogs ears are designed by breeders to look a certain way ;) not too much natural about selective breeding for certain traits. In the CC correct ears have not been worked on as the breed has been cropped for so long it was irrelevant to breeders. Now the breeders in countries that have banned cropping are having troubles with the correct ear set. But onto Capone, he looks great :D Can't wait to see him all healed up.

I have one word for all of the cropped ear opponents. "CIRCUMCISION", it is routinely performed on the large majority of human American males, without their consent and for absolutely no other reason than aesthetics.

"Way I look at it is their ears (penis) were meant to look that way they'd be born with them like that.

I also love the cropped ears...eliminates or drastically lowers the rate of ear mites and ear infections. Plus, if you are working the dog at all...cropping helps reduce the chance of damage to the earflap in tight quarters.
