Wow.. You HAVE REVIEVED A LOT OF RESPONSES TO THIS POST
I HAVE A FEMALE CANE CORSO, I GOT HER AT 11 WEEKS OLD... SHE'S ALMOST 8 MONTHS NOW.. EVEN FROM A WEE PUP, SHE HAS BEEN VERY PROTECTIVE OF OUR HOME.. OUT N ABOUT, SHE'S A TOTALLY DIFFERENT DOG..
WHEN SOMEONE ENTERS THE DRIVEWAY OR THE HOUSE, SHE'S ON HER FET WITH A VERY WATCHFUL EYE... SHE WILL NOT ALLOW PEOPLE TO GET NEAR HERE, UNTIL THE ENGLISH OR US, LET HER KNOW IT'S OKAY THEN SHE'LL SIMMER DOWN, BUT STILL WATCHFUL..
SHE HAS DEFINATLY BEEN A CHALLENGE ON THE TRAINING PART, SHE'S VERY THICK HEADED AND STRONG-MINDED...
SHE NEEDS TO KNOW WHO'S BOSS.. YOU NEED TO STAY STERN AND VERY CONSISTANT WITH HER, OTHERWISE EVERYTHING GOES OUT THE WINDOW...
AS I MENTIONED, AT HOME SHE'S ON GUARD, BUT OUT N ABOUT (PARK, KIDS GAMES, ETC..) SHE'S VERY CURIOUS AND PLAYFUL.. I DO HAVE TO BE ON MY TOES WITH HER THOUGH AT ALL TIMES.. I HAVE NOTICED IF ANOTHER DOG APPROACHES, SHE GOES ON GUARD, TILL THEY GET FALMILUARISE WITH ONE ANOTHER..
GOOD LUCK, I WITH YOU THE BEST.. THEY ARE GREAT DOGS TO HAVE AS A PART OF YOUR FAMILY..

Wow, you sure have gotten a lot of responses to this post...
I got my cane when she was11 wks old, she is almost 8 months now..
She is by all means, not aggressive, but very protective around home, even since she was a wee pup..
When out n about, she is attentive to all her surrounds but happy go lucky... If another dog does approch her, i do hold her back till they get familiarised with one another..
Again at the house she is very on guard, you will know if someone enters your driveway or your house..
She will not allow anyone to get too close to her untill the english or us, let her knows it's okay, but she will keep a watchful eye untill she's ready....
We do have to be stern with her and let her know we are in control, she is very strong-minded.. You have to stay consistant with her...
Again, a great dog breed to have around for protection and as a pet... Love her to pieces...
