Hey guys,My 3 y.0 EM atta and i are getting into biking this spring/summer. Right now i have my rooommates bike indoors just so atta can relate to bikes because it is still winter here in Canada. I have got her a custom made harness and now im just doing research on my next purchases 1. The bike itself and 2. the attachment of either springer or walkydog. the style of biking is just causal cruising inner city and at the lake no intense cliff climbing etc. Just want my dog to be exercised well as the dog park is now not an option for us and leashed walks don't hardly seem to cut it ! Any input on bikes and attachments please comment !

Start with walking the bike and her around the block. Then start on leash with the leash in your hand, at a semi brisk pace, so if she spooks you can hold her instead of fighting to keep the bike under you as she tries to drag it away. I ran my OEB with a collar and the leash attached to the children trailer that attaches to the bike, around the school's track. She did great. Then took her on leash with it in my hand, she heard a tractor behind us and was gone in 1/2 a second, if she would have been attached it would have resulted in a tipped trailer, screaming child and scrapes on me. Learn from my mistake: new area, new noise, and new to running beside a bike. I have heard the attachment where the dog is by the back tire works wonderful, once the dog understands what to do. That is what I will be buying to go on my back so Hubby can pull the children without worry of her bolting the other way. They have some snow tires for bikes, people in Minnesota used them in a show we were watching, but any bike would work I think. If you buy the attachment then the bike you can be sure it will attach quickly. Our trailer attaches with a pin, easy on and off.

Get one of these (dog scooter pulling rack). I don't know if they can attach to a bike, but if you've got some skills I'm sure you can rig it to hook up to a bike. I don't recommend the walkydog. I had one and it attaches to the seat bar and having short legs with the seat situated at its lowest point, I was not able to use it. It also does not do a good job keeping the dog away from the bike if you have a dog that wants to bump you off the bike like mine does. I got the bike tow leash (on amazon) and it has been really good and am happy with it. Tested it with known pullers and it's pretty stable. Website to the scooter bar. DogPoweredScooter.com
